About Palacký University Olomouc

Palacký University Olomouc is one of the oldest universities in Central Europe and is home to a respected Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The General Medicine programme is a 6-year full-time Master’s programme taught in English. Graduates are awarded the title MUDr., equivalent to Doctor of Medicine.

The early years focus on theoretical and pre-clinical subjects such as anatomy, biology, biochemistry, histology, physiology, pathology, microbiology and pharmacology. Clinical subjects are introduced later, with the final year focused heavily on bedside training in areas such as internal medicine, surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics.

Dentistry at Palacký University

The Dentistry programme is a 5-year full-time Master’s programme taught in English. Graduates receive the title MDDr., equivalent to Doctor of Dentistry.

The course includes theoretical, pre-clinical and clinical training, with emphasis on areas such as preventive dentistry, prosthetics, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and restorative dentistry.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must successfully complete A-levels in three subjects, or an equivalent secondary school qualification. The university currently states that there is no fixed A-level grade requirement, and students may apply before completing their A-levels.
