A Landmark Event for Future Doctors & Dentists
The MedConnect Open Day in Manchester was a resounding success, bringing together over 250 students and parents for a full day dedicated to exploring opportunities in studying medicine abroad and studying dentistry abroad.
Designed as a highly focused exhibition, the event gave attendees direct access to universities, medical professionals, and expert guidance β all under one roof.

One of the highlights of the day was the hands-on clinical skills workshop, delivered by graduates from MediPath International.
Students had the opportunity to gain practical exposure to:
- Venepuncture
- Suturing (including advanced techniques such as flap suturing)
This interactive session allowed students to experience what clinical training looks like β something rarely available at pre-university events.

We were also joined by qualified doctors and dentists currently working in the NHS, who shared their journeys from studying abroad to practising in the UK.
These sessions provided invaluable insight into:
- Career pathways after graduation
- GMC/GDC registration

For many attendees, this helped bridge the gap between education and career outcomes.
